Lux’s Purpose was created with the goal of being a light for others, and built upon a dream that evolved while light was guiding us through the darkness. Whether through advocacy, education, or the life-changing bond between a child and their service dog, we exist to create meaningful change and lasting connection. This is where light meets purpose, advocacy becomes action, and connection changes everything.
There is a special light within children who have had to be resilient in the face of chronic illness, and we honor those beautiful little warriors. What started with the inspiration of one child’s unwavering spirit has grown into a mission to share that light with others. Our goal is to create meaningful change in the lives of children and families facing unimaginable challenges.
Advocacy starts with awareness. Lux’s purpose works to educate communities, support service dog teams, and stand up for the rights of those living with chronic illness and disability. Through resources, partnerships, and amplifying the voices that deserve to be heard, we are committed to advocacy and believe that our small dream can create lasting change.
We have seen firsthand how misunderstanding can create barriers for those who need support the most, which is why advocacy is at the core of what we do. We’re here to raise awareness, partner with others who have a voice, educate with compassion, and ensure that service dog teams and families are seen, respected, and protected.
Connection is at the heart of everything we do. Our service dog program pairs children facing serious health challenges with service dogs trained to meet their unique needs, creating life-changing partnerships of trust, safety, and love. Every match we help make is a reflection of our purpose.
